The idea of Carlton Landing was born from the realization that every person needs a tranquil, relaxing place to retreat.

As relational beings, we need places that strengthen relationships and foster a sense of community. A place where to experience the wonder of nature and celebrate our own innate sense of creativity. A place where our pace of life can slow down, our sense of meaning and purpose can rise up, and renewal and revival just seem to happen. Click here to visit the Carlton Landing website.

ACTIVITIES

Parks, Parks and more Parks

  • Firefly Park is the largest, it is located in the center of Carlton Landing and is perfect for gathering people of all ages together to do just about anything fun.  Twenty one homes surround Firefly Park, each one fronting on to this beautiful park.  Firefly Park is home to our Annual Spike Ball Tournament, this popular event attracts lots of teams and spectators.

  • Cottage Court is a beautiful semi-circular park right opposite Firefly Park, with a central round stone paved area complete with fire pit, Adirondack chairs and spectacular park views.

  • The Community Garden is available for residents to use the raised garden beds to grow whatever kinds of flowers and fresh produce they wish.

  • The Pavilion is a fabulous place for the community to gather and share in fun events, like the the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Community Pot Lucks, Halloween Chilli Cook Out and much more. There is an outdoor ping pong table, just one of four such tables that are dotted around town. Plus a fire pit large enough for everyone to be able to stay warm and roast smores.

  • Pistache Park is also known as Secret Park because it is tucked in behind Lower Greenway Park.  Worth finding it has a slide, swings, hammocks and a fire pit.

  • The Crossings is the park nearest to the lake, airstream trailer food court, the beach and marina, you could say it’s where the action is.  You’ll love The Crossings with its gorgeous rock fountain, pagoda and picnic tables, stone fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs.

  • Redbud Park is located on none other than Redbud Street, a short walk from Tower Court Pool.  Redbud Park is full of established trees, making it a perfect spot to play, picnic and relax in the shade of the tree canopy.

  • Bocce Ball Park is just cool, Bocce is an Italian ball game that originated in the Roman empire.  Fun for the whole family, there are three Bocce Ball courts, so you won’t have to wait to try your hand at this game.  You’ll find another outdoor ping pong table here too.

  • Lower Greenway Park is a long linear park that runs parallel to Lower Greenway.  Who wouldn’t want to open their front door to step out on to a long grass park.

  • Brookside Park is currently in its natural wooded state but it may be the future site of Carlton Landings first tennis court, now wouldn’t that be great!
